The same IT job title can mean very different work in different businesses. We help clarify the technology, responsibilities and working environment so employers and candidates can judge the opportunity properly.
A CLOSER LOOK
The technology matters. So does the team.
Two businesses looking for the same developer can be offering completely different jobs. One may need someone to improve an established product; another may be building from the beginning. The technology list alone will not explain the deadlines, the decisions or how the team works together.
We support IT recruitment across software, infrastructure, support, data, delivery and leadership. We ask what needs doing, which skills are essential from day one and where there is room to learn. For candidates, that gives a clearer picture of the work. For employers, it helps focus the search on what the team actually needs.
01
Separate essentials from preferences
We discuss the systems and skills someone needs on arrival, along with what can be learned. A brief should explain whether the work is mainly delivery, maintenance, user support or leadership, and how success will be assessed.
02
Know how the team works
On-call commitments, release schedules, time on site and the support available all affect a decision to move. We ask about those arrangements early. For a leadership appointment, we also establish the budget, influence and decisions that sit with the role.
03
Talk through your next step
Whether you need a permanent colleague or support for a defined project, tell us where the gap is. If you are considering a move, explain which work you want more of and what you would like to change. We recruit from Northern Ireland across the UK and Ireland.
FOR EMPLOYERS
If you are building your team
We will help separate the experience someone genuinely needs from a long list of preferences. Tell us about the systems, product or service they will work on, the people around them and the work waiting for them. We also discuss salary, time on site, on-call duties and how technical assessment will work, so candidates know what they are considering.
Tell us about the work you would like more of, and what you would rather leave behind. That might mean a different technology, more influence over decisions or a working pattern that suits you better. We will discuss the remit, team and practical arrangements before an introduction. You do not need to be ready to hand in your notice to have that conversation.
