HR recruitment

HR roles can combine day-to-day support with decisions that affect the whole workforce. We help employers explain the scope and candidates understand the responsibilities and support they would have.

A CLOSER LOOK

People need good support at work

HR can be the first place colleagues turn when something important changes. The role might involve a sensitive conversation, a busy recruitment period or helping a manager handle something they have not faced before. The remit and support around the job need to be clear.

We support HR appointments from administration and advisory work through to business partnering and leadership. We discuss the workforce, the priorities and how the function is organised. A standalone HR position in a growing business is a different proposition from a specialist role in an established team, even when the titles sound similar.

01

Establish the remit

We discuss the size and structure of the workforce, who the role supports and the work that needs attention first. A generalist position in a small business can be very different from a specialist appointment in a larger HR team.

02

Understand influence and support

Reporting lines, access to specialist advice and the authority to make decisions matter. We ask what the person will be expected to handle independently and where colleagues or external support are available.

03

Support for hiring and moving

You may need permanent HR experience, temporary cover or help during a defined period of change. Candidates can speak with us about the kind of remit and organisation they want next. We are based in Northern Ireland and recruit across the UK and Ireland.

FOR EMPLOYERS

If you are hiring into HR

Tell us about the workforce, the work that needs attention and who the person will report to. We will ask what they can decide independently, what advice is available and where they will need to influence others. We can discuss a permanent appointment, cover during an absence or support for a defined period of change, with the arrangements clear from the outset.

FOR CANDIDATES

If you are considering a change

We want to understand the remit you enjoy and the environment where you work best. You might be looking for a broader role, a specialism or a business that gives its HR function proper support. We will discuss the expectations, reporting relationships and resources around an opportunity so you can judge whether it is the right next step.
